Utilizing Host-Plant Resistance to Circumvent Blast Disease in Rice, blast-resistant varieties developed in India are Pusa Basmati 1637, Pusa Basmati 1609, Pusa 1612, and Pusa Samba 1850. Effective adoption of these varieties would significantly reduce the use of chemical pesticides, thereby producing consumer-safe rice with eco-friendly approach.
