Processing Biogas Effluent, favors the biological processes in these ponds. Also, they are easy to operate and require little or no equipment. This chapter also mentions the biogas sludge management, including sludge drying and utilization as a biofertilizer.

Biogas Utilization,lications. The exact purity or quality of biogas needed depends on the equipment where it will be finally used. Open burners can tolerate low quality biogas while internal combustion engines require a higher quality. The most common end use is in renewable electricity generation followed by heating applications.
