Breaking up BEST Lines Using Zigs and Zags: Lengthening , Reduction of Tension,ical techniques are utilized. The Z-plasty is the best-known tool in a plastic surgeon’s armamentarium in this regard. In this chapter, the various methods of breaking up scars are discussed, with a special emphasis on techniques to reduce wound tension because that ultimately results in better wound healing and reduced scarring.
