Several contributions have been reported on the preparation of blends and composites based on biodegradable synthetic polymers such as poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) with starch., cellulose., and protein materials.. Starch gives substantially immiscible blends with PVA.
