Hematopoiesisatopoietic system of recipient. Each cell of the hematopoietic system generates from a stem cell capable of multilineage hematopoiesis producing white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) do not thrive without their niche. The niche supports the HSCs so that they can function and proliferate properly.
