Arthrose (degenerative Gelenkerkrankungen)noise shaping is the exchange of resolution in time for resolution in amplitude. By increasing the resolution in time (oversampling) and by applying error feedback, the resolution and the theoretically achievable SNR of an ADC or DAC can be increased.

Deterministic effects such as pattern noise and dead zones, as well as a non-ideal implementation affect the actual performance of an SDM.
