Bioremediation of Organic Pollutants Using ,odel, the overall ratio of emission to deposition was constrained to a fixed value (45%). As systematic measurements of ammonia concentrations did not exist at that time, the results were checked mainly with deposition measurements (e.g. BUWAL 1994) and EMEP results.

Macrolichens on Twigs and Trunks as Indicators of Ammonia Concentrations Across the UK — a Practicallated for all sites, based on the frequency of acidophyte and nitrophyte macrolichens on trunks and twigs. Bark samples from trunk and twig were collected and surface bark pH measured in the lab, to test the correlation of acidophyte and nitrophyte communities with bark pH.
