Sulfate production in different-sized droplets using an adiabatic parcel model,ely small content of liquid water. For the largest growing droplets which have formed on coarse mode particles, sulfate production is small. In this case, mass transport limitations for S02, 03 and H202 have to be considered to describe the sulfate production properly.

The use of the log beta distribution to characterize atmospheric aerosols,s characterizing the distribution can be retrieved from the experimental measurements. The log Beta distribution more closely satisfies these criteria than alternative suggestions. The application of this distribution is described in this paper.

Fibrous aerosols at higher tropospheric altitudes,measured concentrations for asbestos were between 0.2 to 2.10. fibers/m. and were between 0.7 an 1.7 10. fibers/m. for all mineral fibers. The majority of the mineral fibers (incl. asbestos) were shorter than 0.1 μm.
