Uptake of Intact Plasma Lipoproteins into the Arterial Wall of the RabbitIt appears that accumulation of lipoproteins in the arterial wall should be regarded as a first stage in the development of atherosclerotic injury of vessels. Therefore it is of primary importance to study the mechanism of penetration of plasma lipoproteins into the arterial wall and their destiny therein.

Lipid Metabolism in Perfused Human Coronary Arteries and Saphenous VeinsOur paper deals with lipid metabolism in perfused human coronary arteries and saphenous veins. Some of these studies have been reported before (Hashimoto et al. 1974). This paper, therefore, represents a summary of our data on this subject. Experiments will also be reported which deal with the effect of carbon monoxide on these mechanisms.
