L2 Reading and Its Assessment: Insights from Test-Takers,The qualitative technique of interview was used in the study in order to gain a relatively deeper understanding of the interviewees’ ideas on the nature of reading comprehension, the way it is/should be tested, and the appropriateness of cloze tests for measuring L2 reading.
