Developing the PIMRS Instrument,ctices of school principals. The PIMRS was the first instrument developed explicitly for this purpose. This chapter describes the steps taken in developing the PIMRS as a ‘behaviorally anchored’ rating scale designed for the purpose of measuring principal instructional leadership.
