In vitro and ex vivo studies of the antithrombogenicity of polyether-segmented nylon 610 of crystallvenous shunt in rabbits to estimate the number and adhesiveness of circulating platelets in a living body with an implanted shunt. The results obtained suggest that a copolymer surface with a microstructure composed of crystalline and amorphous phases minimizes the activation of adsorbed platelets, resulting in excellent thromboresistance.

Design and synthesis of blood-compatible polyurethane derivativesmpatible than usual polyetherurethaneureas. It was concluded that hydrophilization and hydrophobilization of the surface are effective for improving the blood compatibility of polyurethanes, which are relatively blood compatible because of their characterisitic surface structure.
