Approximate Arithmetic Circuits: Design and Evaluationed. The accuracy of approximate arithmetic circuits is evaluated by carrying out Monte Carlo simulations. The circuit measurements are assessed by synthesizing approximate designs in an STM CMOS 28 nm process. The simulation and synthesis results show the trade-offs of approximate arithmetic circuits between accuracy and hardware efficiency.

,Agilit?t in Nicht-Software-Unternehmen,For this reason, we further present a heuristic approach, which uses Symbolic Computer Algebra to determine the error-metric. This approach is tailored for arithmetic circuits. We apply this method to Ripple-Carry-Adders and compare the results to state-of-the-art handcrafted approximate hardware.
