Biogenic Amines and Second Messenger Systems in Insects,owledge of the mode of action of insect biogenic amine receptors is also increasing and much evidence has been presented to suggest that many of their actions are mediated through second messenger systems. However, at present no pesticides are known to bring about their actions by directly interfering with second messenger systems in insects.
