Flood Control in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya, diluvial terraces and dissected small valleys in the terraces. The diluvial upland has been free from flooding, with the exception of the flood caused by the Kano River Typhoon in 1958. However, the alluvial plains have been inundated numerous times.
