Solution methods,In the early part of Chapter 3 the terms ‘extraction’, ‘solution’ and ‘dissolution’ were used and ‘extraction’ was defined as the practice of removing organic additives from the bulk sample without simultaneously removing significant amounts of the polymer itself. It is now necessary to define and distinguish between the other two terms.
