Application of Precise-Spike-Driven Rule in Spiking Neural Networks for Optical Character Recognition,recognition (OCR). A new encoding method is also proposed to convert the external images into spike patterns. This is an essential step for spiking neurons to process the image patterns. The simulation results show that our approach can perform the task well, and the applied PSD rule is also benchmarked with other learning rules on the given task.
