The Andes,constitute 99% of the world’s tropical glaciers. They primarily occur in Peru and Bolivia (90%) with smaller glaciers scattered across the peaks in Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. Glaciers in the tropical Andes have been retreating since the middle of the twentieth century.
