Expression of Keratinolytic Activity by ,,imum pH for lysis of guinea pig hair is 7.5. Bifonazole exerts an effect on the in vitro secretion of the protein at the nanogram level, which is far lower than its in vitro MIC level (20 ng/ml as against 0.25–2 μg/ml MIC). Even at 0.6–0.8 ng/ml bifonazole the in vitro lytic activity was reduced to 50% compared with untreated controls.

Double-Blind Comparative Trial of Three New Antifungal Cream Formulations in Superficial Candidosisological findings, as well as in the final evaluation of the therapeutic value of the drugs..Bifonazole is a drug of proven broad-spectrum antifungal activity. Preliminary Therapeutic Results in Onychomycosis with a Special Formulation,antifungal might be useful. We propose to use semiocclusion with cellophane or plastic material for the post-treatment with bifonazole cream 1% to achieve better penetration and to enhance the therapeutic activity on the growing nail.
