Our synchronization concept supports user-driven tunable lock granularity and lock escalation to reduce the frequency of lock requests both aiming at enhanced transaction throughput. Therefore, the taDOM tree and the related lock modes are adjusted to the specific properties of the DOM API.

Cell Migration in Three Dimensionstransaction protocol that verifies and reprocesses client computations if necessary. By using execution statistics we show how the amount of preprocessing can be partially predicted for each client. Within an experiment we show the correspondence between amount of preprocessing, update frequency and response time.
