Ross A. Abrams M.D.,Richard M. Hansen M.D.ssfully tested at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). The superconducting coils in this facility consist of an outer solenoid wound from Nb-Ti conductor and an insert solenoid with cryogenically stabilized multi-filamentary Nb.Sn conductor, cooled by pool-boiling liquid helium.
