George C. Hsiao,Wolfgang L. Wendlandm the results, it is shown that the safety coefficient increases from 1.3 to 1.75 as a result of the effect of steel pipe piles, which indicates that the reinforcement effect of steel pipe piles is feasible.

Challenges such as limited accessibility; maintenance and protection of adjacent structures; and increased risk management are discussed with the aid of demonstrative case histories.
