G. M. Rood,R. D. Patterson,M. C. Lowerbose moiety of NAD (reviewed in [1]). Fragmented DNA is an essential activator of the polymerase and is not modified by the reaction. This report presents data related to the kinetic mechanism of DNA activation of the poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase.
