It had its origin in a project initiated jointly with the IBM Cambridge Scien- tific Center, particularly with Dr. Rhett Tsao, then of that Center. We are grateful to Mr. Norman Rasmussen, Manager of the IBM Scientific Center Complex, for his initial support.
