In Vitro and In Vivo Operation of a Wireless Body Sensor Nodeies and bio-sensor) to allow continuous monitoring of physiological data. In vitro characterization validates the simulated performances, while in vivo experiment shows the capability of the system for real life telemedicine applications.

A Distributed-Parameter Approach to Model Galvanic and Capacitive Coupling for Intra-body Communicatlar signal. In order to depict that skin impedance, the model is based on the major electro-physiological properties of the skin, which also allows a personalized model. Simulation results have been successfully compared with several published results, thus showing the tuning capability of the model to different experimental conditions.

Users’ feedback has been quite satisfactory and promising.

Activity Recognition Using Smartphones and Wearable Wireless Body Sensor Networksaccelerometers, worn on the waist and the shank, and a wireless heart rate monitor. Data are transmitted via Bluetooth to a smartphone, annotated and analyzed to recognize user activity. WISE platform architecture is described along with recognition accuracy performed by multiple classifiers.
