Methods in Magneto-Hydrodynamic Stability Theory,al interpretation of various terms in relation with particular instabilities. Approximations leading to simplified (“reduced”) MHD equations are discussed. In the last part of the lectures, an example of bifurcation of solutions of nonlinear reduced equations is presented.

Collective Scattering in Gases and Plasmas,les are accelerated by electromagnetic field; and in turn, charged particle acceleration creates new e.m. waves. These new e.m. waves are especially of concern, since they might bring informations to an external observer. The radiation coming out of a plasma is the most natural observation means.
