Comparison of?Continuous and?Discrete Adjoint Methods for?Topology Optimization in?Structural Dynamintinuous and the discrete adjoint method are applied in structural dynamics. Additionally, a modified discrete method, which is independent of the time discretization of the primal problem, is proposed. This approach results in further numerical savings, while the quality of the gradient does not suffer.

A Novel Node Scheduling Algorithm for Solar-Powered Wireless Sensor Networks,ting the role of the sensor with different energy levels, the harvested energy can be utilized effectively, and the network lifetime is prolonged. The simulation results verify that our proposed scheme can prolong the network lifetime while requires fewer sensors to achieve the coverage requirement.
