Monitoring Drought of Maharashtra, India by Using Standardized Precipitation Index,ssified into different classes. There are seven classes in which above than +2 show extreme wet condition and less than -2 show extreme dry conditions. According to the SPI value many areas of Maharashtra were affected by the drought during 2013 kharif season and affected agricultural land. The major crop affected by the drought is wheat.
