Theory of electron-hole drops in germanium and silicon,. The overall agreement between the various methods and between the theoretical and experimental values for the parameters of the ground state is good. There is less unaminity however on the surface properties and on the charge structure in particular. Experimental evidence bearing on these questions would be most useful.
